This year Lakeland High School will be hosting the 9th Annual Section 1 vs Section 9 Boys Soccer Challenge on Monday, October 9th starting at 9am, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness . Proceeds raised from this "Kick it to Cancer" event will go to Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation, a local organization that has been raising money for 20 years to assist those affected by breast cancer right here in the Hudson Valley. This years participants include Mamaroneck vs. Monroe Woodbury (9am), Bronxville vs. Spackenkill (11am), Byram Hills vs. Cornwall (1pm), Scarsdale vs. Goshen (3pm), John Jay EF vs. Newburgh Free Acadamy (5pm), and Lakeland vs. Beacon (7pm).

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Hosting a fundraiser in honor of Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation is a great way to help our Community. Be creative or be simple, from Pink Out Sports events, Zumbathons, Lemonade Stands to Pink Bagel Sales, T-shirt sales, and more! The Hudson Valley will be celebrating Miles of Hope Day on October 20th and I hope we can count on everyone's support!
